Artwork Specifications

It is important that artwork supplied for disc and paper printing is prepared correctly.
Tailored Media Solutions accepts all artwork as electronic files in the following formats:

  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Adobe Indesign
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Quark Express

The following guidelines must be followed when preparing press ready artwork.

Disc Printing

  • 2 types of process - Spot Colour (PMS) screen printing OR CMYK (Full Colour) Offset.
  • All images at 300 DPI, as EPS or TIFF files (no JPEGs).
  • If using Pantone (PMS) Colours, ensure that colours are separated as correct Pantone numbers.
  • When using Pantone colours, ensure artwork is saved as vector files so that a sharp result is achieved.
  • Avoid using half tones as the screen printing process does not lend itself to achieving a sound result.

Booklet Printing
  • Files must be saved as CMYK(not RGB) - Spot Colour only printing is possible but must be quoted separately.
  • All images at 300 DPI, as EPS or TIFF files (no JPEGs).
  • All fonts must be included (screen and printer) and when using PDFs fonts must be embedded.
  • 3mm bleed should be included on all outer edges of print area.
